Wellesley Hotel

The hotel’s proximity to the train station and major shops is convenient, and the cleaning lady is very nice, coming almost every day to tidy and change towels. The only issue is the toilet doesn’t flush properly.

The décor, friendly helpful staff, and location were great, but there was noise outside the building at night.

I love how close the place is to the metro—just a 10‑minute walk—and there are shops and restaurants everywhere you need. Sunny was great, helping with everything we asked. We were put in a small suite behind the hotel that looked cute, but it was infested with bed bugs. Sunny went above and beyond to give us a new bed and mattress, but the problem seemed to be mainly the carpet and the sofa. Even though they said they did pest control, we still found bugs in our bags when we got home. The property really needs a refresh, but I appreciated how Sunny and his wife did their best with what they had.

The location is excellent, not too far from Ilford Elizabeth Line. The room was clean, had all the essentials, and the manager/owner was friendly.

The towels were changed regularly and reliably. One of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property is very old and poorly maintained, with an unpleasant smell, extremely poor cleanliness and a broken window. Even the glasses were left with visible marks after cleaning. There was hardly any real hotel service. Don’t expect a proper hotel experience — just a basic place to get by. I would definitely never stay here again
