The rooms were tidy and thoughtfully decorated, and the location in the old town was excellent. Breakfast was very good and the hosts were very friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed because of illness, which was a real pity.

“Kommen wieder”

The owners were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was great, arranged lovingly for the four of us. It’s close to the city centre. The carpet floor was a downside.

“Ein tolles Wochenende in historischem Hotel mit liebevoller Betreuung und super Frühstück”

The hotel felt very historically appealing and was run with care as a family business. We were struck by how friendly and helpful the host was; the rooms exuded coziness and cleanliness, making us feel at home instantly. Breakfast, with fresh rolls and all the comforting foods that please both heart and stomach, capped off the whole experience. Hats off to the Mögenburg family and the team – thank you! Unfortunately, we couldn’t dine at the hotel that weekend because a “closed society” event barred us, which was a pity.

“Achtung - nicht barrierefrei”

The spot right on Schlossberg was great, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and each one had its own character. However, there was no clear notice that the rooms can only be reached by very steep stairs with short steps; the old timber‑frame building has steps everywhere, even inside the rooms, which isn’t suitable for small children or older guests.
