It’s a peaceful retreat yet still close to the city center and Botanic Gardens, so you get the best of both worlds.

The host was friendly and we had everything we needed, but the place felt a bit quirky. There are only two beds, though plenty of sofas and armchairs can seat a crowd, and the dining table fits six. The kitchen was dirty, the adjoining cottage lets in light at night if blinds aren’t down, and there are no power outlets near the bed.
