The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and the people are lovely and helpful, going above and beyond; the area is full of trees, bushes, flowers, and a variety of animals like dogs, chickens, crabs, caterpillars, and more, so if you’re not a fan of animals this might not suit you. The rooms are modest and the bathrooms are quite small, but they provide the basics you need. You can even swim with turtles right outside daily, making it a nice place to unwind.

The location was wonderful, right on the beach, very peaceful and quiet, and the staff were fantastic—helpful, friendly, and not intrusive, making for a great experience. The room and especially the bathroom were very simple and not aesthetic, but there was air conditioning and it was clean, so it was more about expectations.

The place offered plenty of space, good climate control, a fridge, hot water, airy rooms, and a friendly lady who handled reception, cooking, and cleaning; it’s close to the sea and we were given a larger room with a sea view, but the rooms weren’t cleaned during our stay and we were told to throw even toilet paper in the bin. The sea is close, but the bottom is poor with stones and seaweed, and the reef is deep and weak; during low tide in the morning and evening you can’t swim. It’s expensive—better to go to the main road for shopping. For a tuk‑tuk ride to the village they charged twice the street rate, and for a transfer to Oslob they asked for 2,500 pesos, supposedly for the transfer, then took 500 pesos for the reservation, and when we asked Filipinka she immediately demanded 3,000 pesos. They try to squeeze money out of you for any service. The sea view is blocked by trees and a square where locals (for camping) come and throw huge loud parties; some play music, others sing until 2 a.m., and the best starts at 6 a.m.! So it’s only for those who enjoy that. Overall the stay was okay because of the terrace and the nice square in front of the sea, but there were many issues, and the camp’s trash piled up, with Filipinka collecting the rubbish and leaving it, dogs tearing it apart, and it all got messy again. The tap water is warm but drips, so you need a watering can.

The spot is perfect, right across from a great snorkeling spot where you can see a lot of turtles, just a 5‑minute walk to White Beach and a 15‑minute scooter ride to Panagsama, and the beds were comfortable, but the room’s comfort was lacking.
