“Nice venue and very comfortable rooms.”

The rooms were very good, the food was okay but pricey. We know the business changed hands after we booked and stopped offering a cooked breakfast to try to turn things around, but we weren’t told until we talked to the couple at the end of our stay; customers should be fully informed of such changes.

“geweldig”

This beautiful 16th‑century hotel sits on the Wales–Herefordshire border. The room was clean, spacious, and had a good bed. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended. Abergavenny is a half‑hour drive away, a charming and lively town.

“Geweldig en zeer gastvrij”

After a car mishap we arrived later than planned and were warmly received. Because of the mishap we needed to stay longer, and the owners helped us everywhere. We felt right at home, and they made our stay feel like home—great! The room was excellent and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner.

The spot is great, and the room even had a wireless charger. The public areas look nice. The room itself is cramped, with a small step that makes moving around the bed awkward, and the dressing table is unusable because of that step, so I couldn't sit there. The food selection was tiny and nothing matched my appetite, so I ended up eating out each night. LED lights around the headboard were pretty but kept turning on by themselves at random times.

A lovely country escape before heading back to the city. The place was super comfortable and quiet, giving us plenty of space to unwind, and the on‑site pub and meals were excellent.
