When I walked into the room, it was damp and had a strong moldy smell, even though it was a non‑smoking room. The wallpaper and the bathroom were both covered in mold. It’s in the Kanto area, a downtown location, so the price might be low, but the lack of breakfast and the extra parking fee make it feel expensive.

The staff were friendly, but when I left the room I was told I could drop my key at the front desk, yet nothing was returned to me. If I forget my room number, could the front desk still hand me a key? Maybe the front desk should ask for the room number and confirm it before giving the key back.

I was able to move to my room quickly, but the pillow was too firm for my liking.
