The restaurant and terrace are good, the staff are always friendly and helpful, the room is adequate for its size, and the river view is nice. The cleanliness was an issue—cockroaches in the room were unpleasant. The location requires walking through crowded squares and streets with people carrying luggage for about 15 minutes (though they mention this at booking). The price is too high for the standards offered.

“Au plus près du Gange et de la vie à Varanasi.”

The hotel is very well positioned, right on the Ganges with a wonderful terrace at any time of day. My room had a nice balcony that was visited by monkeys. The hotel is clean and safe, with attentive staff. Air‑conditioning and shower are perfect. It’s very quiet and the restaurant prepares simple but good and safe dishes. There is no elevator. It’s important to know this even though hotel staff help with luggage, even from outside the city center, because taxis can’t reach it.

The location was great, and the room was spotless. The restaurant served dishes that were cooked really well, though a few corners of the room looked a bit sloppy.

The place is well situated. The only downside was that the facilities were mostly limited to toiletries.
