The bathroom frogs were nice, but the room was unbearably hot.

Close to the Pidurangala rock (5 minutes by Tuktuk)! The host was kind and attentive. No complaints.

The guesthouse was chosen for its vibe, but it fell a bit short of expectations. We had hoped for a standalone “house on stilts,” yet our room was an annex to the main house with a summer dining area below it. That didn’t bother us at all. The room itself is small but incredibly cozy and comfortable. The host greeted us with a tasty juice, which was a welcome cool down after the move in the heat. Dinner was also delicious. The hosts were very friendly. We ran into Wi‑Fi issues and never got a reliable password, but that wasn’t a huge deal. The guesthouse is within walking distance of Pidurangala and not far from Lake Hirivadan. Since we were on a tuk‑tuk, we easily got there and, after arranging with a boatman, we went on a water safari.

The place sits in a very quiet spot, which was a relief after a month of traveling. For its price it offers excellent value. It’s basic but has everything you need. I’ve paid much more for other hotels without having such an experience. The owner was absolutely lovely and very helpful. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic.
