I stayed in the Foz area, about 6 km from Porto, in a quiet, residential neighbourhood with several restaurants and bars nearby. The English Beach is just at the end of the street, and a Continente supermarket is about 200 m away. Breakfast was decent: buns, pastries, fruit, York ham, cheese, butter, jam, honey, electric coffee, milk and fresh juice—great for not having to move around. The hotel sits in a high‑roofed wooden building with creaking floors; I recommend rooms on the upper floors. The bathroom had a shower with good pressure and the bed was comfortable. A bus stop is close by. The ground‑floor rooms are very small, damp, and I wouldn’t recommend them. The hotel street and surrounding streets are blue‑zone parking; you have to look for white‑zone parking about 10 min on foot, which is the only downside.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was great. The location is excellent—the waterfront, shops, cafés, and public transit stops are all just 2–3 min away. The place is clean and has everything you need. In the morning, you’ll be greeted by a very friendly lady named Irina. A special thank you to her for such a warm welcome!

The location was exactly what we wanted. The room was clean but tight and dated; the bedding was clean but not great. The bathroom/shower was tiny.

The breakfast was small but fine. The bedding was not clean, smelled musty, and the shower ran out when you showered.

The building and room were cute and had a nice old‑style feel. There was a smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, and the bathroom door couldn’t be locked. The fridge was noisy, there were no curtains, the bedside lamp didn’t work, and there was noise outside.
