The spot was close to Tiburtina station, but the atrium and my room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, with visible cigarette burns on the bedside tables and no smoke detector. It was almost impossible to breathe. The shower head was broken, making the shower unusable, and the air‑con was loud. The breakfast at the downstairs bar was surprisingly good, but the bar was CLOSED on Sundays. The host claimed she had no control over it. Imagine staying here with a 4‑year‑old child.

I found the location comfortable, but it didn’t feel very secure; I couldn’t bring my stuff into the room. When I asked if the cameras were working, I got a “why?” reply after 12 hours. I woke up with itching in the morning, hoping it wasn’t a serious issue.

I could quickly message the owner and felt reassured. The shower room was spacious and I had a very comfortable stay.
