“Great value for money in a peaceful location.”
A lovely little log cabin in a camping field. It was very quiet, though it was literally a few hundred yards from an event we attended over the weekend. Jane met us upon arrival and gave us the door and gate codes right away so we could come and go as we pleased. The cabin was perfect for our needs. Tea, coffee facilities, and a few snacks were provided, along with a fridge that had milk and water. The bed was very comfy and the shower was lovely. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all supplied. We’ll visit again and hope to get one of the larger cabins with an outside terrace and covered eating area. There is nothing to dislike.
“A nice peaceful relaxing place to stay with plenty of space for the dog to have a run around.”
We thought it was warm and cozy. There was a slight lack of surfaces to put things on, and the door thresholds between the lobby bedroom and en-suite should be a stronger color to provide contrast when stepping over them.
“A Peaceful Retreat with a Personal Touch”
From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome by the lovely owners, who were more than happy to chat and provide information about the local area if I wanted it. The middle cabin was beautifully presented, with tasteful Christmas decorations and a comfy bed that was just what I needed after a long day. The underfloor heating in the shower room was a lovely touch, and the soft, fluffy towels were a nice surprise.
“Fantastic weekend, very relaxing and slept well. Enjoyed visiting Eyam (plague village)and Curbar.”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the accommodation was cute, cozy, clean, and unique. The location was great and there were plenty of local places to eat. We visited the nearby Kathmandu Indian Restaurant, which served excellent food and was welcoming. We didn’t book in advance but were accommodated immediately. The venue also has parking. Jane at Press Brook Park was very welcoming, polite, helpful, and communicated well before and during our stay. We’ll definitely return on our next trip to the Peak District. The only suggestion would be to put a sign on the property gate and add a few hooks inside the accommodation for hanging clothes. We stayed in the Escape Cabin.
“A Cozy Haven with Friendly Hosts”
I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming hotel, where the atmosphere was incredibly cozy and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect, with a fantastic local pub just a short walk away that was dog-friendly and served excellent food and drinks. The hosts were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome and had everything I needed.
