I stayed close to the center and the place was clean; the room had a cozy décor and the entrance was efficient. The gate felt a bit scary the first time you enter, but after that it was fine.

Pokoje przy Rynku I offers bright rooms with free Wi‑Fi, a shared kitchen, dining table, work desk, microwave, electric kettle, wardrobe and a communal bathroom with shower. Situated 29 km from Katowice Airport, it lies within a minute’s walk of the Medical University of Silesia, 10 minutes from Katowice Train Station, and close to Spodek arena, Silesia City Center mall, and an ice‑skating rink.

The location, price, and cleanliness were good. The only downside was the tiny towel and the bathroom water temperature being set so hot you could burn yourself.

The spot is great, right in the city center, a lovely area, and just a stone's throw from the train station. The room is cute and cozy, with a table and chair that let me work during the day. There's a kitchen and a fridge, so you can cook something. Essentially, you’re renting a room in a four‑room flat and sharing the kitchen and bathroom with other guests. 1) Whoever wired the electricity in the room should be in hell. In the kitchen‑living area you can’t turn on the light and eat calmly; a motion sensor keeps the light off. So you either have to dance while eating or eat in the dark. A better solution would have been an automatic light near the entrance, but that fixture doesn’t work. 2) To get the Wi‑Fi password you have to reach the router perched high on the fridge. The default password is a tough mix of letters and numbers, so you need to look at the router and type each letter one by one on your device. I had to grab a chair and stand on it while writing the password, and the light kept going out (see point 1), so I had to wave my hands because you can’t write the password in the dark. 3) The top of the fridge was filthy, and the router itself was also dusty, so I was wiping my hands while writing the password. I was too tired to take a photo, but later I told the cleaner and she cleaned it. 4) There’s an air conditioner, but it only works as a heater in winter. It was very stuffy and hot, so I had to open the window, but there’s a road and tramway below the windows, making it very noisy at night. When I worked, I had to close the window because of the loud trams, but it was still stuffy. 5) The microwave sits very high on the fridge; I’m slightly taller than average, but it still felt too high. 6) The apartment itself is cozy, and the room is very nice, but a bit tired; the worn‑out table and floor need updating (not critical compared to everything else). 7) I had a hard time opening the safe where the key was kept. I had to call support because I thought the code was wrong. It was just a very tight box; I barely opened it. On departure I left the key on the door because I didn’t have the energy to open the safe and I was running late for the train.

The place is close to the station. There were no towels of normal size and no cleaning supplies.
