The building was gorgeous, full of character, and my room was comfy with a great view. Breakfast in the dining room was a nice way to chat with other guests. The only hiccup was the confusing reception sign – it looked like the house, but I had to go to the golf shop to get my keys.

The house was stunning and the staff were helpful and respectful. Everything else was perfect.

Nice spot, but the room was never cleaned – towels were wet on day two. Breakfast was awful, toast hard as a rock and pricey. They told us to head to Carrick Inn on Mondays, but that place was closed too, so we had to drive 24 km for a meal.

This was the most beautiful place I've stayed at; everything was wonderful.

The location couldn't be better – rolling hills and a golf course right on the doorstep made every morning feel like a getaway. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired: dinner was reheated and pricey, and breakfast served overcooked bacon with coffee that was barely warm. All in all, the scenery made up for the lackluster meals.
