The staff were friendly, but the accommodation was very basic.

The rooms were good‑sized, very clean and tidy. The check‑in lady was friendly and helpful, but I wasn’t aware there was free Wi‑Fi.

The motel looked stunning, and the host lady was outstanding—she helped us a lot and even upgraded our room free of charge. I’d recommend this place to anyone and plan to return when I’m back in the area.

The place sits right next to Narrandera’s CBD, so walking to the town’s attractions was a breeze; no need for a car. The 200‑year‑old fig tree that gives the hotel its name was a cool touch. The owner moved us to a lower‑floor room for my wife’s hip pain and didn’t charge for the larger space—he was very kind and welcoming. The downside was that the location is right on the main street, and truck traffic at night woke us up a few times; it wasn’t a huge problem, just a mild annoyance.
