The lodging was close to the ski slopes, and the hotel had its own ski‑board rental shop, which was very convenient. A shared fridge made it easy to store personal items. Breakfast and dinner were very plentiful every day, and the hotel’s bath was very comfortable, a relaxing place to unwind. The staff deserve special praise; during our five‑day stay she quietly remembered our habits, which surprised us and made us feel warm and thoughtful. It’s a place that feels very warm, and if I ski again I’ll want to come back.

It’s close to the lifts and in Ichinose, where a few restaurants are available. Some days you need to book restaurants well in advance, even though it’s hard to predict when they’ll be busy or closed.

A basic room that was still comfortable, the food was good, and the hotel was right next to the ski slopes so you could ski straight out. The only downside is that the room itself has no bathroom—there’s just an onsen downstairs, which is clean and easy to use. No other problems with the accommodation.

The location is fantastic. My room was huge and offered a lovely view of the forest and snow. The staff were friendly and helpful.
