The hotel’s proximity to the beach was a definite plus.

It was nice that the hotel was by the bay, but the place smelled bad, was dirty, and the pet fee and deposit were $300 even with a discount—this was the first time I’d paid so much for a pet fee, deposit, and our own deposit. I would have been fine if the expectations had been met, but they weren’t.

The furnishings were pretty, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was large, but the toilet lid was missing.

I liked that it was right next to the beach. I didn’t like how the restroom smelled awful, and while showering it seemed to smell like pee, making me think someone might be peeing on me—I wanted to cry. I used an air freshener from the nearby Heb to get rid of the bad smell.
