Dinner, breakfast, and the welcome were all exceptional.

“Great place to stay while travelling for work.”

I was working nearby for a few days and chose The White Horse Inn instead of a three‑hour round trip; the staff were fantastic and very welcoming, the rooms comfortable and clean, the food good, and the beer selection excellent—locals frequent the place, so even on a Tuesday and Wednesday night there were several customers. The only drawback was a snoring guest in another room, but I had earplugs.

The rooms were old and grubby, the walls were paper‑thin so you could hear a neighbor’s nose, and the food was appalling.

The staff were great, breakfast was old‑fashioned and served at the table—surprising but enjoyable—and it tasted really good.

The room was lovely, cleaned and tidied daily, the food fabulous, the bar staff great, and Mario was fantastic; I will stay again and highly recommend it. Tim had a great stay.
