“Localização excelente, mas colchão horrível!”
The location is excellent, right next to the main tourist street, and the cleaning lady keeps the place immaculate; however, there is no bell, the door is often closed, so new guests have to shout or knock; the mattress is extremely hard and uncomfortable, giving me the worst night in Guatemala, but I only booked one night; there is a cat that wanders all the beds because the room doors are always open, so I had to close mine and it sneaked in through the window—hahaha.
The location was good, but after the first night they refunded half my money; the bar outside was so loud and the room was way too hot.
The staff were lovely, the rooms were tidy and the breakfast was impeccable. Unfortunately, the location is too close to the road and there’s a lot of noise.
The beds were comfy and the place is in the city centre with good cleanliness; there were lockers in the rooms for a 20‑liter backpack. The noise at night was high because it sits right on the main street, and the next day the reception was closed so I couldn’t drop off my bags and they didn’t offer an alternative. The receptionist was not friendly at all and very curt.
I liked how the hostel staff explained how to better explore the lake.
