The bedroom was great, but there was no common area.

The place is beautiful, the location and the facilities are good. The only advice for the staff: when the Northern Lights appear and they see or know about it, I would ask them to let guests know as well, even if it means breaking the room door! In the morning the lady told us that the night before there were the Aurora, she even photographed it and showed it to us. she told us she knocked but we didn't hear it! Next time the lady can just enter the room, no one will complain.

We loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of our stay here. The owner greeted us at the door and showed us to our room. Each area of the hotel was filled with an assortment of neat and welcoming decorations and plants. It feels like a space someone truly tends and loves. In the bathrooms they offered items like feminine pads, extra towels, and even had a drawer of items travelers might need that fellow travels left behind. (even mentioning that they sanitized the items). There was tea, and we heard a light breakfast provided as well, but we slept in and didn't have any. Our room was located near the creek so we were able to keep the window slightly ajar and listen to it at night. The bed was so comfortable and easy to fall asleep in (and was the first place in Iceland I truly and deeply slept). Near by there are also walking paths by the creek which we explored the following morning. Wonderful stay, and can't recommend it enough. We will definitely come here again. Was my favorite hotel in Iceland we went to!. Some people may not like that they have to take their shoes off before going to their room/upstairs. Honestly, I didn't mind, and it was a positive for me and made the space feel/be more clean, but I recognize that it might not be for everyone. One other additional thing I didn't like was, we didn't get to stay here longer! ^_^

Nice rooms, coffee and tea. On the second floor the floor creaks a lot.
