David’s welcome was very warm and he was ready to give us advice about the area. The homemade bread, jams, and other spreads for breakfast were a delight.

The value for money, the quiet location, and the family‑like atmosphere created by the staff were positives. The bathroom had a sewage smell, the cleanliness was poor, and the three‑storey building without an elevator was uncomfortable.

I really enjoyed my time at “El Biógrafo”; it’s spotlessly clean and the staff—David and Pan—are incredibly helpful, friendly, and pleasant. Breakfast is delightful with homemade bread, eggs, marmalade, and coffee or tea, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an air fryer, a single‑pot stove, a toaster, and more. Free bottled water is available, and there’s a fridge you can use. Coffee and tea are free around the clock. The rooms are nice, featuring a lockable storage space beneath the bed, and I asked for an extra pillow because the one I had was too thick and large, but David supplied a new one right away. The room is well organized with hangers for towels, numbered drawers for each bed, and shoe drawers marked by bed number. Each bedroom and bathroom has a color name. On the top floor there’s a TV room with a huge screen and a balcony to hang clothes. The location is perfect for getting around, with the Blue Line nearby that takes you close to almost every train or metro station you’ll need. Absolutely book here if you’re heading to Bangkok! The only downside was that some showers had mold, though overall the bathrooms were clean. The beds felt a bit hard for me, but that’s a personal preference.
