Schlossberghotel Oberhof

The staff were exceptionally friendly, coffee and tea were available free of charge at any time. No shower, only a bathtub for shower use with a high entrance. We were located on the second floor, and the lift only went up to the first floor, making it difficult with heavy luggage.

We were very warmly welcomed. The short stay was perfect at this hotel. Friendly staff all around. The breakfast was really good. Everything was perfect. At check‑out there were not only kind wishes but also a small gift. Great. Thank you. No negatives.

No proper shower.

We spent a gorgeous 8‑day break together in the Schlossberghotel in Oberhof at the start of September and were completely thrilled. My husband has limited mobility, so we drove, and the hotel was the perfect launchpad: easy to reach and in a great spot, letting us leisurely explore the beautiful Thuringian Forest by car. From day one to the last, we felt incredibly comfortable. The whole team was warm, attentive, and helpful. Our room stayed spotless, cozy, and offered exactly the comfort we wanted for our week. Every day we were treated to fantastic food: breakfast had a superb selection for a relaxed start, and the dinners were varied and very good. The beautiful, well‑maintained wellness area was another big highlight, an absolute oasis of rest for both of us. After 8 days of pure relaxation, we’re definitely coming back! Thanks to the whole team for the great hospitality. The only downside was that our room lacked a fridge; the library has one fridge where you can rent a compartment, but the compartments are limited.
