The location is superb, right on the Danube. The pool and beach area are well set up, perfect for relaxing. The room was very clean, with modern and comfortable furniture. The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming. The food was excellent, with generous portions. Prices were very good, offering an excellent value. The only downside was that the bathroom didn’t have toilet paper or soap when I arrived—a minor but important detail that should be checked before guests check in.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Riviera Ambasador 990. The promotional images are misleading and do not reflect reality at all. First, I booked Riviera 990 but was actually housed at a completely different location about a 10‑minute walk away, without any prior notice. Every morning we had to walk to the main site for breakfast, which meant a 10‑minute walk on a busy national road with no sidewalk. Tourists should be informed about this on the website before booking. The room we stayed in was a loft in an unfinished building, poorly furnished. For all this, we paid 1,950 lei—a completely unjustified price for what we received. The Riviera 990 restaurant was also a huge letdown: dirty, disorganized, with very low‑quality food. The breakfast was, without exaggeration, the worst I’ve ever had. Dishes were left out in the heat, full of flies, and some seemed spoiled, so we couldn’t eat anything at breakfast. The staff were indifferent and uncaring. Moreover, the receptionist told us that “Booking assigned the room to us,” an illogical and unprofessional explanation. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to shift blame. Throughout our stay we felt treated with superiority and disrespect, despite paying a significant amount. I do not recommend this place under any circumstances. The quality‑price ratio is disastrous, cleanliness is lacking, and the entire property is full of improvisations. The online presentation has nothing to do with reality, and tourists are misled. Shame on Riviera Ambasador 990 for how they treat their customers!
