Shkodra Hostel & Day Tours

The hostel is tidy, has a lovely garden and offers activities, but the staff act like a tight-knit clique, it gets noisy, and the extra services are overpriced.

The location is excellent, the beds are comfortable and the rooms have curtains, and I liked the price and the included breakfast. However, the two buildings are separate, so if you’re in the main one you have to walk to the kitchen in the other building—or vice versa—to get breakfast. The hostel’s tours are actually pricey; I found cheaper ones outside, and for the cost of one hostel tour I could do two external ones.

“écht een aanrader!!”

The staff give a warm welcome and are always reachable and visible. The newer building is very modern and clean, yet it keeps character with its old elements. The garden is cozy and has a bar. The rooms are spacious and the beds have curtains. The trips they organize run smoothly and are fun, and the staff also help you arrange your own trips.

The hostel is super beautiful, the courtyard is great for chilling, and the communal interior space is fantastic. The room is roomy with a wardrobe that comfortably fit my large trekking backpack. The staff are very friendly and fulfill all requests. Breakfast options are varied, there are group excursions to nearby sights, and evening activities are offered. There is really nothing to complain about.

“Excellent!”

The spot is excellent, the female staff are lovely and sweet (felt like friends), and the communal chill areas are cool. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, but that’s hard when you’re sharing with guys.
