The location is spot‑on – right in the middle of everything you need. Unfortunately the housekeeping left the place looking cluttered and not very clean. If they could tighten up the cleaning, it would be a solid option.

A quiet, retro‑styled hotel where you can actually hear birds singing in the morning, with shops just a short walk away and a bus stop that gets you to Vienna in minutes. The staff had my name ready, greeted me warmly, and showed me to my room right away – that personal touch really stuck with me.

The rooms are stripped down to the basics – very simple, no frills. The big drawback is that there’s no private bathroom or toilet, so you have to share facilities with other guests.

The kitchen was a real highlight – fully equipped so I could cook my own meals whenever I wanted. On the flip side, the cleaning service was lacking, leaving the place a bit untidy.

We booked a room on the way to Hallstatt, paid for it, and arrived late at night – the only option was to stay. The whole place was filthy: dirty beds, a kitchen you couldn’t touch, flies and ants everywhere, and the floor hadn’t been mopped in months. It felt more like a rundown shelter than a hotel, and the smell was unbearable.
