“This hotel was far below what I expected out of a Sheraton.”
The pool was great with plenty of seating spaced out so people didn’t crowd each other, and room service delivered to the lounge chairs, which I loved; however, the hotel was much older and run down compared to other Sheratons, the phone in our room didn’t work, we only had one bath towel for two of us, and I had to call the front desk on my cell to get towels sent up—though I eventually found a direct line to a person and reported the broken phone; the valet process was a joke: we were told we’d receive a text to request our car, but I never got one; I called the front desk on my cell (since the room phone was dead) and the woman was short with me, saying she’d get our car pulled around; after we got downstairs 10 minutes later, no car; I asked at the front desk, she said she’d called our room but no one answered; I reminded her our room phone was broken and I’d already reported it, yet she was short and asked what kind of car we had so valet could pull it; instead of quietly telling valet, she yelled across the lobby, told him our car type, that I hadn’t received a text, and that I needed one to set up payment; the valet read my phone number out loud to everyone and then fetched our car; after getting the text, the front‑desk woman told me to follow a link and enter “BTR”; I tried the prompts on my phone, reached the credit‑card entry screen, and she again said “put BTR” as if I should know what that meant; I asked why and where to do that, she pressed things on my phone to force me to a screen where I could enter a payment code.
