Ty Mynydd Lodge

Lisa welcomed us warmly when we arrived, the breakfast was excellent and the home felt very cozy; we had a parking spot set aside for our two‑night stay, the beds were comfortable, the room was a decent size with an ensuite, and Lisa shared great local spots to visit and eat, including a nearby pub; getting there from the M4 was easy and the value was outstanding. We had heard from earlier reviews that the ensuite was tiny, but it was sufficient for our needs and the shower worked well; we would definitely return.

The bathroom was very roomy, and the room had everything we needed for a single night; breakfast was also great, offering many uncooked options and a small but tasty cooked menu. The TV in the room was a bit temperamental and the remote didn’t always work, but that wasn’t a major problem for us.

Lisa treated us better than any other B&B I’ve stayed at! Fresh flowers were everywhere, the house was beautiful and full of antiques, breakfast was perfectly cooked and presented, she offered help whenever needed, and the place was impeccably clean. She works hard to be an outstanding host and friend, and I’ll highly recommend her. All in all, everything was excellent; a light on the bathroom mirror and a reading light would be nice additions.

“Prima en dichtbij Cardiff en Cardiff Bay”

The owner was very welcoming and gave us plenty of tips for visiting Cardiff and the surrounding area; Cardiff is easily reachable by train from here. The room was small but comfortable and had all the necessary amenities; we slept on the back side, so traffic noise was minimal, and breakfast was fine. The bed was a bit tight.
