Breakfast was excellent, and the location was great, just on a hard-to-reach street, though a market on the same street was a big help. It might be the island’s issue rather than the lodge, but not being able to change towels more often was a problem because the street has red clay that stains everything, and somehow the towel got dirty or stained too.

“Dá para gastar menos em pousadas melhores.”

Breakfast, the pool, and the location were all good, even though the street is terrible to walk on. The reception guy who runs the lodge is very helpful and the caretaker is very kind. The towel policy, the reception (the woman there seems reluctant to guide and help), reception only until 18h, a tiny room (3x3 when they show rooms and spaces that look amazing in the photos—really small), and the cleaning is just okay.

The location is great, breakfast is very varied and tasty. The staff are very helpful with check‑in and check‑out times and can hold your luggage for a few hours. The standard double room is rather small and windowless (as shown in the photos).

I loved everything, the breakfast was delicious. The pool is nice with a beautiful view. I stayed in the Luxury room with a wonderful view. The room décor is lovely. The staff are perfect, guest service impeccable. There’s simply nothing to dislike; it’s just wonderful.
