The spot is convenient. The room is clean, the layout makes sense, and I think the VIP room looks nicer than the suite. It’s my first visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, and I’m lucky to have picked the right place to stay!

The property is clean, close to many coffee shops and restaurants. The staff are helpful. The bed is comfortable, and the room comes fully equipped with essential items.

The location is good, the staff are friendly, and the décor is nice. The room is small, has no windows, so the 3‑person room feels pretty cramped. The toilet has weak water, poor drainage, a black spot on the showerhead, and overall it’s unclean.

We had a good stay at Halo Hotel. We were comfortable and the staff were nice. We appreciated the bottled water each day, and the staff met our needs. Getting a Grab was convenient each day for transportation & sightseeing. The neighborhood had a nice local vibe, with many cafe choices.

Absolutely nothing. It was torture. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be reported, given how deplorable the room was. From the moment we arrived, the reception was handled by a man who was particularly unpleasant. We only spoke English, but that does not justify such a lack of courtesy. The neighborhood is quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. It is admittedly far from the main attractions, but that wasn’t a problem for us. However, as soon as we entered the room, we were shocked by its catastrophic condition. It looked more like a construction site than a ready‑to‑stay hotel room. It was extremely hot. The air conditioning worked, but it was so old and ineffective that it barely cooled the room. The walls were just as concerning: mold, a strong fresh‑paint smell, rough repairs in several places, simply covered with paint. Moreover, paint was flaking everywhere. It was enough to put our bags against the walls for them to get covered in fresh paint. It’s simply unacceptable. The electrical installation worried us too. The room seemed to be under construction, with outlets in a very concerning state. I didn’t even have an outlet near my side of the bed. The photos attached to this review show the state of these installations. The bathroom was equally catastrophic. The ceiling was punctured and the bathtub drain was missing. When we took a bath, the water drained directly through the bottom of the bathtub onto the tiles, before reaching the floor drain.
