Everything was great: friendly staff, good breakfast, a clean room, and a welcome basket of grapes and a note in the room. The hotel clearly needs a facelift; it feels like a chic 1970s hotel that’s stayed the same. That’s not a criticism, it was still a pleasant setting for a night or more. It’s different from the hotels we usually book and reminds us of how things were back then. Overall, I enjoyed the place.

A great hotel. We were very impressed by the staff. The rooms were excellent as was the dinner. No reservations

The staff were very, very friendly and greeted us in the room with a plate of grapes. The public areas had a baroque décor. We couldn’t dine on the candlelit terrace. The room’s décor clashed with the beautiful style of the reception area; it felt more like a student room and wasn’t very welcoming.
