Chalé Funchal - City view

The house sat on a high part of the city with incredible views from its spacious terrace; everything was very clean and had everything needed for a vacation on that lovely island. Raquel, the owner, let us check in later than usual because our flight was almost at night.

The rooftop views were amazing, the house was large and spacious with everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped, and the laundry facilities were great; it was super close to a big supermarket and the location worked well for us since we had a car. The ensuite room got a bit hot, but fans were available in each room, and the gate to the driveway was stiff so we couldn’t open it fully, though on‑road parking was available so it wasn’t a problem.

The house comes fully furnished and equipped with all the kitchen essentials and more. The terrace is fantastic, giving an awesome view over the city. You can park in the private driveway, but only if the car is small enough. After a few days we really felt at home. The duvet cover is synthetic, which can leave you feeling uncomfortably warm at night.

The building is practical and comfortable, with a great location and a beautiful city view. The owners are responsive. One of the rooms lacked a wardrobe for clothes, though there was a drawer for smaller items.

The kitchen is very well equipped and the terrace is gorgeous.
