The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and laid back, far from any noise so you feel removed from everyday life; the lodging building, dining rooms and pool are nostalgic, the decor is well done, and the pool area is very restful with plenty of swings and good seating areas.

“Nice drive, quite environment, clean room, great food!”

The place was spotless, quiet, and a good distance from the town, and the staff were friendly. It was so hot outside that I couldn't walk around or stay outside, so I’d suggest focusing on indoor activities like book readings, live music, sing‑alongs, inside exercise, late‑afternoon horse shoes, a dance party after dinner, early‑afternoon tea, and board games for everyone to gather; I didn’t spot any bike‑riding options, and the rooms had no chairs or tables.

“Beautiful guest ranch 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta.”

I found the ranch house impeccably maintained, the owners and staff extremely welcoming, and the setting near Lake Oconee perfect for horseback riding, all of which made for a quiet and relaxing stay.
