The vibe and location were great!

The room was large, comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the overall motel décor matched that charm. However, after booking two nights, the room wasn’t cleaned after the first night and the price felt high.

We really enjoyed our stay; the room was quaint and charming, the pool and DJ were fun, and the hot tub was a highlight. We didn’t use the bar or other amenities, but we would definitely recommend El Rey. The carpet in the room felt a bit “funky,” so adding throw rugs that match it would help.

The location was good and the hotel is animal‑friendly. The beds were extremely dirty between the fitted sheet and the top sheet.

The bed was very comfortable and the outdoor seating was nice; the coffee was delicious. The room needs updating, curtains for privacy, and the parking lot has potholes. Coffee should be offered earlier in the day, not just at 7 am.
