“Holiday inn has lowered the bar”
The location and price were good, but the car park was expensive, the bed was small, one lift wasn’t working, the breakfast quality was not as good as it had been before, and the room decor was dismal.
The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped/stocked. The staff, especially when checking in, where helpful and very engaging
The location is superb, right by the airport, so the trip is very short… The staff are friendly, the breakfast is good, and the rooms are clean and nice.
“My stay”
The reception staff were very good and went out of their way to make us feel welcome; the bathroom had everything we needed and the cleaning staff were also very good. The older barman was rude, made us wait, and was not serving anyone. When I asked for lemons or lime for my bottle, I was told they were out, even after a lady had a lemon in her gin and tonic. I would expect fruit for the price premium, especially since they served fish and chips. The king‑size bed was uncomfortable; the mattress felt like it had been moved and sagged in the middle.
“Honest Review”
Everything is usually great, especially when you get an upgrade! It could use a better system or clearer signage to ensure the car registration gets entered into the terminal when using the carpark.
