The stay was absolutely amazing and relaxing; Rose welcomed us warmly and handled everything effortlessly. The breakfast room and lounge offered stunning views of the rolling countryside, and the outdoor tables let us sit and watch birds and sheep in complete peace, with almost no noise. The bedroom was spacious, very dark, and the bed so comfortable you never wanted to get up, giving my smartwatch sleep scores in the mid‑90s for both nights. Breakfast was beautifully prepared, keeping us full until the afternoon, and we didn’t want to leave, so we’ll definitely return.

I had a fantastic time at Ladderstile Retreat – it was an incredible experience! After a long, complicated train trip, Rose greeted me with a log fire and hot chocolate to warm me up from the rain. That was just the beginning of a lovely stay; I can’t praise her hospitality enough. The location is gorgeous and calm, the facilities are brilliant, and it felt like a true home away from home. I slept well in a comfortable bed and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning. Rose is a star, exuding kindness and paying attention to every little detail to make the stay as comfortable as possible. You won’t be disappointed here; everything was perfect and I loved every moment.

Everything was perfect. Rose went above and beyond as a host. We didn’t expect the level of service we received; she truly cares about your stay. Our daughter adored Rose and even cried when we left. We’ll see her again sooner rather than later.
