“Clean and spacious rooms, hotel with colonial era history”
The building’s character and interior are appealing. Breakfast options are varied, rooms are clean and spacious. The pool was unusable because of refurbishment, but that’s not a big deal – it will be great once it’s finished.

The room was very spacious, the balcony offered a great view, and overall it was very comfortable. The welcome cake tasted delicious. Although the room faced the street and traffic was heavy, the noise was barely noticeable once inside the bedroom. The jacuzzi in the bath didn’t respond to the button, which was frustrating, but after speaking with the front desk a technician arrived promptly. The repair didn’t fix it, but the main switch was explained and I was able to enjoy the bath. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes. Staying in the same room that the first Indonesian president occupied during the Asia‑Africa conference made me feel very happy to be in such a historic hotel. I found the old photographs and guest lists on display very interesting. The staff were very bright and helpful, making the stay pleasant. After checkout, a forgotten item was found and I was immediately notified via WhatsApp, which moved me. The lighting switches in the main bedroom’s concentration control were unresponsive and the display was faded. The light in the secondary bedroom had a nearly broken plug, and the insulation tape around the switch was peeling, indicating that the electrical system could use improvement. While the equipment isn’t the latest, that adds charm; better functionality would make the experience even better.
“Amazing historical art deco hotel”
The historic art‑deco hotel was amazing, and the executive suite was excellent. Breakfast buffet and the café were great, and the location was superb. In the evening the bar closed early, and although the executive suite was wonderful, some amenities like the light switch didn’t work.

Prachtig gebouw en vriendelijk personeel. De kamers zijn vies, airco’s kapot. Er word overal verbouwd ( met de nodige geluidshinder tot 22.30 uur ) handdoeken ruiken chemisch muf. We zijn een dag eerder vertrokken

The location is great, the room is clean, and the staff are very friendly, so it feels like home and offers good value for money. Nothing significant was wrong.
