Nice location, the option of a private suite, and the room and facilities were good. The breakfast timing wasn’t very convenient and the selection was limited, and on the last day the hostel ran out of water, but that didn’t ruin the overall experience.

Breakfast was good and interacting with other guests was enjoyable. It’s the only hostel in town, located on a very remote edge. Getting around is hard without a car. For a backpacker‑style stay it falls short. Vila dos Marceneiros, where the restaurants and nightlife are, is 5 km away. In the hostel’s area there’s nothing nearby that you can do without a car. The city closes early. Bathrooms lack hot showers and barely have water. Few alternatives and little staff support. If you don’t have a car or motorcycle, I don’t recommend it.

Beach Hostel Milagre has a really lovely, relaxed vibe and is in a fantastic location very close to the beach. The owner and host is extremely friendly, approachable and helpful, which immediately makes you feel welcome. Our double room was beautiful, with gorgeous lighting, a large very comfortable bed and a lovely ensuite bathroom. There are hammocks around the property where you can relax, and guests also have access to a shared kitchen. We met some very friendly people during our stay, which added to the atmosphere. The location is one of the biggest highlights. The beach closest to the hostel is already very pretty, but within just a few minutes’ walk you reach some of the most spectacular beaches and coastal scenery anywhere in the area. Accommodation around here can be very expensive, so Beach Hostel Milagres offers exceptional value for money. If you’re looking for affordable accommodation with a great atmosphere, friendly hosts and easy access to truly beautiful beaches, I would highly recommend it
