Mountain View Lodge sits just one minute from Lukla Airport on the Everest Base Camp trail, offering family rooms with private bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, refrigerators, ovens, and toasters. Guests enjoy a bar, free Wi‑Fi, outdoor seating, 24‑hour front desk, private check‑in/out, paid shuttle, full‑day security, in‑room breakfast, a coffee shop, and an outdoor play area. Nearby Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery enhance its trekking appeal.

From the perspective of the EBC trail, the facilities aren’t spectacular, especially compared to city hotels in Nepal, but after about 20 nights in various tea houses of differing quality, this one was definitely acceptable. The room stayed warm thanks to the lower altitude, and the airport was literally next door. The price didn’t include warm water, though it was supposedly an add‑on—something we didn’t try. The room was tiny, almost like a ship cabin, yet it was fine.

I had a fantastic stay here, largely thanks to the owner, D Sherpa, who went completely above and beyond. He made sure my room was perfect and even took the time to show me around town. We grabbed a couple of beers together on the first night! Incredible hospitality—highly recommended.

The staff and the manager/owner were very friendly. He was especially helpful when we were delayed in getting our flights out to KTM. The location is great, right near the airport. Nothing to complain about.
