The hotel Neutraal is very centrally located, right next to the main train station, and the old town is easily reachable on foot; we hardly used the tram because almost everything we needed was close to the hotel. However, you should expect that you’re in a station district, so some streets can be a bit dirty and there’s always some activity. We were lucky that breakfast happened to be free during our week. The breakfast was decent – not a huge variety, but enough for a light appetite. We had a really nice room. The rooms in general aren’t especially large, but if you’re not carrying a lot of luggage, the space is more than sufficient. The sink and mirror are in the room, while the shower and toilet are next door and generally clean. Our room also had a perfect location: the window faced the courtyard and there was a small balcony next door that everyone could use, which was very convenient. Because of that, our room was also pleasantly quiet and we slept well at night. From the breakfast room you also get a great view. All in all, I think the value for money of this accommodation is very good.

The location in the city center is great, but paying 300€ for two nights in a room without a bathroom feels like a big scam.

The location was fine, but the bathroom was a total mess everywhere, not even swept; the hostel is old but it needs to be cleaned.

The location was good, but the shared toilet was preferable to having one in your own room, though it was clean.
