Located across from the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, The Porches Inn at Mass MoCA offers on-site art exhibitions, an outdoor heated pool with pool deck, and proximity to Mount Greylock (8 miles away). Guest rooms feature retro-style furnishings, bright colours, free Wi-Fi, minibars, flat-screen TVs, plush bathrobes, and en suite bathrooms. A fitness centre, sauna, and hot tub are available for relaxation.

Breakfast was excellent as usual, the location is great for nearby cultural spots like The Clark, Mass MOCA, and Williams College Art Museum, and Porches is close to outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and skiing; the lounge is comfortable with a fireplace, and there’s a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness room. The only minor issue was that the lighting in the room was somewhat dark and the floor lamp shouldn’t be in front of the TV from the chair’s perspective; the lounge bulbs could be brighter.

The rooms feel very old, but the sauna and jacuzzi are nice.

The pool, hot tub, and fitness center were fantastic, and the breakfast was fabulous.

The grounds were terrific, the decor interesting, the bed comfy, and the view of MOCA and the plantings lovely; breakfast was good and the bottom‑window shades worked well. In the pink building, Room #21 had a slow bathtub drain and one bedside cupboard door was stuck.
