A nice room with large, comfortable beds. The bathroom is lovely. The setting is quiet on the heights and the best beach on the island is reachable on foot. The small private pool is very pleasant! Breakfast was excellent with fresh Malaysian specialties. We were able to leave our luggage for the day before heading back on the ferry in the evening and our host drove us to the taxi station. The only downside is that you have to climb a nice slope to get to the accommodation! But the host will pick you up at the bottom when you arrive by taxi from the ferry and escort you back to the taxi station with your luggage for the return!

The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, and the view offered a large stretch of nature. The breakfast selection was limited.

The location was great—next to a forest, within walking distance to the beach, a grocery shop, food stalls, and a short moped ride to the city. Mosquitoes are to be expected near the nature, so bring or buy repellent.

The terrace view at breakfast and the room size were positives. However, be aware that a steep slope must be climbed to return from the beach, which is only a 5‑minute walk away.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was a bit expensive, especially since the breakfast choices were limited. There is a very steep hill that isn’t suitable for walking or older people.
