“Average option for a one night stay”

Adequate for a single night in a small town while traveling, with beautiful castle views, a clean room, and welcoming staff at check‑in. Guest services are minimal and overall the accommodation is very average. Disappointingly, on a Saturday the on‑site restaurant closed after lunch for the night – luckily a nearby pub was open in the evening for some food. In a quaint but odd way, staff leave after 5:00 pm and hotel guests are left to themselves in the building after hours. As mentioned, the accommodation is very simple and services are limited. The advertised restaurant was closed in the evening with no other options available in the hotel.

“Agradable, volvería”

The accommodation is pretty good. When we arrived, the whole village had lost power and the computers weren’t working, but because I booked through Booking, they could check me in from their phone, which would have been impossible otherwise. They were very kind in finding that solution. The terrace room is spacious, and the views of the castle are unbeatable. I’d like to highlight the food – spectacular. We ordered venison meatballs with couscous and wild boar in a red‑fruit sauce; both dishes were delicious and the portions were acceptable. They also serve a small tapa with the drink (chosen by them, not by us). Breakfast was also fine. The rooms need a small refurbishment; they feel a bit dated and leave something to be desired. The beds were not uncomfortable, but not suitable for staying more than 2‑3 nights.

The staff were wonderful, eager to make us feel welcome, give information, and explain things. We had a lovely room with a spacious bathroom and a balcony overlooking the town and the castle. It was a hot night and the hotel was very warm, but the air‑conditioning in our room worked well and let us sleep soundly. It was a great stop‑over, and in the morning we enjoyed a walk around the town – good to experience a place with its own character and history, and to escape the motorway. We were disappointed that we seemed to be the only overnight guests. We felt safe but it was a bit eerie.
