Hostal Sant Carlo

“Recomendado!”

The hostel is very well located and meets the expectations of a hostel: simple and for sleeping. What exceeded my expectations was the cleanliness—bathrobes and bedding were always changed like in a hotel and had a faint fabric‑softener scent. It’s a great stay for solo women; I felt safe. The bathroom locker is really small, but the shower works fine.

“Buena y agradable.”

There’s no breakfast there. Light from other places leaks into the room, and nighttime noise and conversations from other guests disturb sleep.

“rapido y furioso”

The location is in central Barcelona. I wanted a private bathroom.

The rooms are a bit small, and the TV doesn’t have enough cable to watch multiple channels.

“Asqueroso”

The location is fine. The room layout was cramped, the facilities were neglected, old, and deteriorated, everything was dirty. We had a two‑night reservation, but we weren’t at the hotel and they entered the room without notice, without telling us they would clean, and we left all our belongings there. In short, it’s the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, overpriced for what it offers. I wrote to the operator before arrival and they didn’t reply until I called; after the call they checked and said there was no issue with the arrival time. The bathroom handle didn’t work, but the weather made it unnecessary, yet the fans were filthy. Hygiene items were poor—only a used liquid soap and paper, nothing else.
