The spot is great, right on the beach, so you can fall asleep and wake up to waves and gulls. It’s hard to find a more comfortable place to stay on the sand, and the room felt cozy without feeling cramped, even with the awning closed you still get a decent view if you want. We were lucky with the weather, though we can’t say if the awning is rain‑proof. The bathrooms are close by, clean, and there’s even a charging spot for your phone because we were riding a bike. On the downside, the location right on the promenade means it’s a bit tight for normal beach traffic; cleaning trucks came by early and loudly several times in the morning, which ruined the natural vibe, though it was necessary. There was barely any luggage space; there was a box that we’d have to pay an extra 5 € for if we wanted to use it, but the lock was broken and they refunded us. I got the impression they were trying to squeeze money out of us, especially after the hefty surcharge for sheets and towels and the already high nightly rate.

The beach chairs were positioned right on the shore and fenced off, so not every beachgoer could walk through the sleeping beach chairs, which was nice because those sleeping chairs were surrounded by regular beach chairs. We had one of the front beach chairs and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea. The shower was spacious and the toilets were clean. The parking spot for the car was right nearby and free. It was a bit disappointing that you had to pay extra for bedding and the like.
