I stayed in the city centre, but the place felt old and not very clean; the noise level was high and the price didn’t justify the experience.

The room was ready almost immediately and the staff let us stay until 5 pm even though checkout was at 12 am, and the location is close to the centre and very convenient. The downside was the lack of air conditioning, and the shower had a hard time balancing hot and cold water – it was either too cold or too hot.

The warm shower was good and the beds were fine, but the power outlets were very inconvenient for world plugs.

We had been looking for a place that offered peace yet was near the city centre, and this hotel hit the mark perfectly. The cottages are spacious, with large bathrooms and incredibly comfortable beds, and everything was spotless. The spot is strategic: you’re close to the centre without city noise, and it’s a great base for visiting nearby waterfalls and temples, plus there are plenty of tuk‑tuks right outside. Just a heads‑up for future guests: there’s a short but steep hill to reach the cottages – doable, but not ideal if you have mobility issues or need barrier‑free access. Otherwise, it was an absolutely fantastic and beautiful stay. Highly recommended!

“Un véritable havre de paix au cœur d’Ella”

My stay at Ella Okreech Cottages was absolutely exceptional. The location is perfect: just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Ella, while still offering a calm, peaceful environment surrounded by nature. The cottages are charming, clean, comfortable and well maintained.
