Incredibly comfortable, clean, and with a fabulous view. Warm and cosy. Loved the outdoor bath and the privacy. Couldn’t turn off the wall lights in the bedroom and lounge area separately, which isn’t ideal if one person wants to sleep while another reads.

We had an amazing stay at the Kōtare Cabin, a perfect reset. Barrie and Leslie were lovely hosts and we were so impressed with the work they have put into the Cabin and surrounding property. We will definitely be back

The Totara cabin is a unique place so close yet so far. We loved our stay. It’s easy to access and unique in the bush surroundings with views over the bay and Tapu settlement.

The place is private, just for two people, kept in great condition and fully equipped; the welcome was friendly and there were little touches that made us feel cared for, though we wished we had arrived earlier to enjoy the accommodation more.

The property looked stunning with amazing views and was cleverly designed with unique details; Barrie and Lesley were the kindest and most helpful hosts you could imagine, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about – it was simply fantastic.
