The place feels warm, authentic, unique, cosy, cute, quiet, and spacious for Europe, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The private parking is a bonus. The beds and mattresses are hard, and the pillows are thin unless you prefer that.

The hosts were very helpful, offering many good activity tips, the breakfast was fine with homemade ingredients, and the view of the Papingo Towers is wonderful.

The location is great, the setting picturesque, and the historic house special; the shared kitchen and living room were super useful, and the patio was nice to sit on. The host’s family were attentive and helpful whenever we needed something or when something happened. The low doorframe is a real issue that should be warned about – I got nasty head injuries from it during our stay and would not have booked it had I known. The place needs a lot of love and care: the toilet barely worked (we had to use a bucket 5–6 times for every #2, even by a little kid) – which wasn’t warned about in the listing – screens were barely present on most windows, which had to be kept open because there was no AC (we found 2 dead bumblebees in our beds one day), and other smaller issues. Still, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warmth and informality of the setting.

The rooms are very nice and authentic, but the bathrooms are a bit cramped.

The host was very helpful and flexible. The property is beautiful, the bedroom offers great views, and the beds are very comfortable.
