The people were nice and the money goes to a Kenyan orphanage, but the highway noise is loud because it’s so close, and getting in is tricky because of the fast highway.

The location was excellent, and the hosts Peter and Jan were the kindest and most accommodating people I’ve met; they’re also deeply involved in supporting children in Kenya.

“The owners are lovely and available to make your stay pleasant”

Traffic was pretty heavy, but the directions they gave made it manageable: if you’re coming from the north, avoid crossing oncoming cars by taking the traffic light, turn at the service station, head north and exit to the right. The family place is only a short distance away, so just slow down and look for the access road.

The hosts were really kind and generous, the whole place was spotless and the bed was surprisingly comfortable—nothing to complain about.
