“Charming short stay in Edinburgh”
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Highfield Guest House where Kate, Maggie and Gordon ensured we had everything we needed and shared invaluable local knowledge throughout; the whole property reflects their love and care as hosts, and our room was beautifully decorated, charming, characterful, and absolutely immaculate, complete with all the amenities one could imagine and thoughtful extras like a contactless little bin in the bathroom and guide books for ongoing local events.
The location is great—easy to reach Edinburgh’s main attractions—and Kate, Maggie and Gordon were superb hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful; we’ll definitely stay there again, as we didn’t dislike anything and it was perfect.

I’m usually picky about cleanliness, but this place was spotless; the lady was very nice, offered helpful suggestions, answered all my questions, and gave useful tips about public transport and coffee/breakfast/restaurant options nearby.
