I thought Beijing would have better hostels, but this place was the worst I've seen since China. The moment I checked in, a strong urine smell hit me, and the toilets were a mess—hair everywhere, tissue litter, dirty sinks, and the whole corridor smelled bad. I had to ask for fresh tissue in the women's bathroom multiple times, and the shower was a joke—no soap, so you rinse off and still feel dirty.

The only thing that messed up my stay was the smoking at night, even though it was forbidden.

Shelley and the other staff were super helpful and made the stay enjoyable. The cleaner worked alone and kept the place tidy. The only downside was the night shift guy who was rude.

The hostel's location is great—just a short walk to Shilipu subway station.

Everything was perfect—big hostel, ideal spot. The only issue was that there was no kitchen and the toilets were shared with men.
