River View Cottage sits right in the heart of the Klein Karoo mountains, near a river where you can swim and canoe. The views are amazing, the décor is stylish, and the appliances are top‑quality. The host is very friendly and provides solid service. It was scorching hot during our stay, but that could easily be mitigated by staying in or on the water.

The place was secluded and private, with stunning starry nights that felt very romantic. I appreciated the fan during the heat and the ability to swim in the river and use the canoes—truly spectacular! The only downside was that the Wi‑Fi we were told was included turned out not to be available; we had to use the main house’s connection, which caused a bit of stress about work communication, and that was the sole reason it mattered to us.
